We established our 501(c)3 status in 2020 with three key board members, who have been there for us and helped us grow over the years.  PIctures and more details coming soon!

Eric Cuneo is Assistant Principal at Ida B. Wells High School and prior to that, a former teacher there for decades.  He has cheered on Heat of the Kitchen since the very beginning and has been an excellent resource for connecting curriculum with the changing needs in our school.

Rodney Chin retired in 2022 from being the Executive Director of the Buchanan YMCA, which has supported the Heat of the Kitchen efforts as its fiscal agent since its early days within the restaurant Modern Tea.

Janna Cordeiro is the interim Program Manager at the Food as Medicine Collaborative and has been a resourceful connector and supporter on many levels since her time as Manager of the SF Market.

Precious Ogbonna is a youth development director at the YMCA of San Francisco and has been helping youth and teens explore the concepts of civic engagement, workforce development, and health equity. Specializing in middle and high school programming, Precious uses that experience to support our young people with their transition into the workforce, understand their civic duties, and transform medical research to be centered around equity.
